Downtown Manhattan has been designated “Nikola Tesla Corner” due to its proximity to Tesla’s laboratory at 8 West 40th Street, where he worked in 1900. At that time, he was working on building his Tesla Tower on Long Island that finished ingloriously. A plaque that commemorates the Engineer’s Club awarded Tesla the Edison Medal in 1917. is placed nearby Bryant Park Place, where Tesla fed pigeons during his later years.
