Winery DeMar was founded in 2016 in the area of Ludbreski vineyards in Varazdin County. The basic marketing and production principle of the winery is to be a "boutique winery" with high-quality wines in small batches for true wine lovers. The uniqueness of deMar wines is characterized by their emphasized freshness, variety, and flavors in modern styles.
Rhenish Riesling, Welschriesling (or graševina in Croatian), Yellow Muscat, Muscat Ottonel, Pinot Gris, Rose, Chardonnay, and Cuvee are produced in limited series of quality and premium wines with privileged access to each variety. Although we are one of the youngest wineries in Varazdin County, year after year our wines win prestigious national and international awards.
In 2021, our winery won a silver and a bronze medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards in London. This was followed by an even greater success in 2022 when our Welschriesling (Graševina) 2020 won the gold medal. It is the first-ever gold medal for a wine from Varazdin County at the Decanter World Wine Awards. Our other wines also received awards. Our Pinot Gris 2020 received a silver medal, while Rhine Riesling 2020 and Muscat Ottonel 2021 were awarded a bronze medal.
Winery deMar invites you to taste and enjoy a different wine-aromatic view of life.
