According to records, the cellar was built by Croatian Ban Count Ivan III Draskovic as part of Klenovnik Castle, and the cellar is still in use today. The exceptional positions of the southern and southwest exposures in the "Cardak" area near Klenovnik in the wine-growing region of Haloze provide exceptional conditions for grape cultivation. The vineyards span a total of 9 hectares in one piece, and the following grape varieties are represented: Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Yellow Muscat, Moslavac, Grasevina, Pinot Noir, and Syrah. Significant progress has been made in improving wine quality through investment in modern technology, as evidenced by the medals won at numerous wine exhibitions. Access to the cellar and the hospitality facility is possible by bus, and with organized tastings and catering, we can accommodate around 70 guests. Wines can be purchased at the winery located at Klenovnik 239, at the Varazdinski Vijesti wine shop on the main city square in Varazdin, and at the AC Ivanec wine shop in Ivanecka Street 54.
The Ivanec Agricultural Cooperative continues the tradition of wine production associated with the history of the Draskovic family.
