It has not been possible for me to reply to your letter which I received several days ago; so even now I only have a few moments, which I use to set a good example for my uncle; and with that, I want to take revenge for the advice you once gave me and you didn't know how to follow.

In general, I have good news to inform you. My system was used in Niagara - and I guess you found out about it from uncle Peter because I told him about it by wire. My new invention, called the "oscillator," is progressing wonderfully, and everything is looking beautiful.
As far as my body machine is concerned, that is, physical health is not exactly the best, but it could be worse.
I hope the flu did not harm you. Americans don't worry about such littleness as influenza. They take a large glass of brandy and dissolve ten to twenty grams of quinine in it, then go to bed and fall asleep with their ears closed, and in the morning, they are as healthy as steel. Try it, and you will see that there will be no influenza.
I would write to Maria on this occasion, but I only have a few hours here.
I sent you a book in which my collected works are described. I sent one copy to each sister and uncle. My writings were collected by an American writer, and the book was a great success. The second edition is already being printed.
I hope that I will soon go to Europe on some business, so then I will visit you. All my friends and doctors advise me to stop working and get some rest, but now it is difficult for me to leave my work because it is unfinished.
