Muography, a new technique sparked interest not only with the archaelogical community, but also with researches in other fields as well. Muography is now being used to take a look inside  Volcanoes. That internal view could give scientists more information about how and when a volcano is likely to erupt.

It was a cool Thursday morning in Cape Canaveral as the nation's first space shuttle was about to make its last ever trip into space.

Researches tuned their laser so that it formed an electrically conductive pathway just above the tip of the tower. This allowed the tower’s lightning rod to intercept a bolt snagged by the laser before it zipped all the way down to the laser equipment.
