Ameca is a new age robot developed by Engineered Arts. This fusion of artificial intelligence and a human-like body is based on their Mesmer technology, which is so advanced that the movements and facial expressions of the Ameca robots are so fluid that they resemble humans.

As stated by Engineered Arts:

„Ameca is the world’s most advanced human shaped robot representing the forefront of human-robotics technology. Designed specifically as a platform for development into future robotics technologies, Ameca is the perfect humanoid robot platform for human-robot interaction.“

A characteristic of the Ameca robot design is modularity, which is a prerequisite for later improvement due to the possibility of hardware and software upgrades.

„We focus on bringing you innovative technologies, which are reliable, modular, upgradable and easy to develop upon,“ according to Engineered Arts.“

They explain how artificial intelligence and machine learning systems can be tested and developed on this robot thanks to their Tritium robot operating system.

It is interesting that users can gain access to all the robots data, control it as your personal avatar, animate and simulate, all available from anywhere in the world. An additional point of interest is that each of the robot's components can function independently, so they explain how only the robot's head or arm can be used.

„Smooth, lifelike motion and advanced facial expression capabilities means Ameca can strike an instant rapport with anybody. Ameca is the perfect platform to develop interaction between us humans and any metaverse or digital realm.“

Along with Mesmer and RoboThespian robots, they list Ameca as the newest and most advanced robot in their offer and it is also available for purchase or rental for events.
