Nikola Tesla's Death

The funeral was held on 10 January 1943 with over two thousand people. New York’s mayor Fiorello La Guardia read a eulogy written by Louis Adamic while “Ave Maria” and “Tamo daleko” were played in the background. Nikola Tesla was cremated and the gilded urn with his ashes is stored in the shape of his favorite geometric object, a sphere, in the Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade.
